Outdoor Clothing Size Guide: Find Your Perfect Fit

Having the right-sized outdoor clothing makes every adventure more enjoyable. All Foida products are designed with activity-specific fits that consider comfort, layering, and performance. A size medium can differ between products — always check the fit type for each garment.

Fit Guide: Understanding Outdoor Clothing Fits

Different activities need different fits. Foida categorizes fits by intended layer:

Active Layer Fit — Close-to-body fit for base layers and lightweight activewear. Designed to sit directly against skin for maximum moisture transfer.

Mid Layer Fit — Regular fit that accommodates a base layer underneath while providing warmth. Close enough to trap heat but not restrictive.

Shell Layer Fit — Relaxed fit with room for multiple layers underneath. Cut to allow full range of motion while sealing out weather.

Insulation Layer Fit — Relaxed fit designed to layer over midlayers or under shells without compressing insulation loft.

How to Measure for Outdoor Clothing

Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal across your shoulder blades and nipples.

Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, just above your belly button, keeping the tape snug but not tight.

Hips/Seat: Measure around the widest part of your hips, typically 20 cm below your waist.

Inseam: Measure from your crotch to the bottom of your ankle, following the inside seam of your leg.

Sleeve Length: Measure from the center back of your neck to your wrist, arm slightly bent at the elbow.

Body Height: Stand straight against a wall and measure from the top of your head to the floor.
